Greetings to you all.
Well, last night was another very enjoyable meeting at the Howick Club. Good food, good venue, great speakers and great company.
What a great job Gavin has done in converting an old unused Kiwanis lectern into a very nice Rotary lectern, Well done and thank you Gavin.
Also thank you Gavin for repairing the door to the storage area under Ray Whites in Howick that will be used for Bookarama sorting and storage.
Pat and I will be away in Bali (I know but someone has to do it) for a few of the upcoming Tuesdays but they will be looked after by:
Dave Wylie on Tuesday the 10th September which will be a Club Assembly Meeting and Geoff Thompson will be looking after the Board meeting on Tuesday the 17th September. So thank you to you both.
Our Sergeant Madeleine (lash) East is going great guns with fines and topping up our coffers.
John Osborne has taken on the task of bringing up to date the Jim “Howells Memorial Record of the Clubs Paul Harris Fellows”. The last one in the book, I believe, is Dave Wylie in 2017 and there have been quite a few presentations since then.
So I am sure that John would appreciate any help that you can give him in completing this unenviable task.
So stay safe and I/we will be thinking of you while we are sipping cocktails by the pool.
Warm (Bali warm) regards to you all
